Mr. Rainess currently has one of the premiere lacrosse practices in the country representing players of the likes of Kyle Harrison, Paul Rabil, Max Seibald and Matt Danowski as well as Duke University’s head coach John Danowski.

— In 2002, Ira Rainess was hired by Ray Lewis to create a brand image, public relations and marketing campaign for the All-Pro Linebacker.

–certified agent with Major League Baseball and the NFL and is equipped to negotiate both player contracts and lucrative endorsement deals.

–In 2001, Mr. Rainess negotiated a 4.2 million dollar signing bonus for Gavin Floyd, which at that time was considered the largest signing bonus ever for a high school baseball pitcher in the MLB Draft.

Ira is the former president and CEO of Tufton Sports & Management, the entity responsible for all business, marketing, contractual and legal matters pertaining to Cal Ripken, Jr. Ira spearheaded all marketing, endorsement, licensing and public relations matters relating to Ripken’s record-smashing consecutive-game streak; furthermore Ira pioneered the “milestone marketing” model that has since been used by other professional athletes.

In 2003, he was contacted by Loyola College to represent Lacrosse Coach Diane Geppi Akens who was battling brain cancer to help honor and perpetuate her legacy by securing a book and movie rights deal.
